Thanksgiving and more

We went to Rapids for Thanksgiving to spend time with both of our families. It was a nice long vist with lots going on. Daddy went deer hunting with both Grandpas, and daddy got a buck for Grace to admire. Mommy, Grandma and Aunt Tina went shoping a lot, and we all got sick! Grace also saw snow and a Christmas tree for the first time and seemed to like how both shimmered in the light.

Grace also started eating bananas last Sunday...and of course loved them! I can't believe that our little girl is almost 6 months old. How did she grow so fast?

Grace also started sitting up supported pretty well this week

Grace started with cereal last week and at first was kind of iffy about it. We finally found the right texture and now she loves it! Her first meal of real food was Avacodo. She kind of liked it, but it took her a few days to really enjoy it. This week she tried sweet potatos and instantly love it!


Grace is getting so big! Nate was out of town this week so my mom and dad stayed with me to help out. Its a good thing because Grace got her first real cold. She is so congested, her eyes are red and puffy and shes just not herself:( but through it all she still manages to put a smilie on her face (which now includes two teeth on the bottom.

Another big milestone (well kind of) Grace started to become much more stable. She can sit up by herself for a little while, and can reach for toys out in front of her and then come back to a seated position. She has also really gotten the hang of passing toys back and forth between her hands, and grabbing objects bringing them to her mouth and dropping them when she wants to.

Grace went to her first live performance at the Oveture centure. It was a Brazilian Drumming group that she absolutly loved! She feel asleep, but was singing and laughing before that. We went with Nates cousins wife and their two kids. Here are all the kids having a ball!

Last week we saw that Grace has two little teeth starting to poke through! which would explain all the trouble sleeping the last week or so.

Grace is 5 months old!

Wow can she really be five months old already? She had grown and changes so much in such a short amount of time.

Is in size 1 and 1-2 diapers

Drinks 5 oz a time, 5-6 times a day - typically over 25 oz total daily. She Started solid food for the first time friday night (11/5) She ate rice cereal, and wasn't sure if she liked it or not. Next week we will try some alvacado or sweet potatos I think.
Sleeps ~9 pm-6:30 am most nights- but has been getting up 5 or 6 times just for a few seconds

Smiles and talks when you walk in to get her in the morning
rolls over from front to back and really wants to do it from front to back

Has amped up the teething and must have something in her mouth at all times. We just noticed that she has her two bottom teeth poking through. Which would explain why she is up multiple times a night lately.

Is showing much more interest in Peanut. She loves to watch us throw the ball and have peanut run back to her.
