What a Girly Girl!

Any Chance she gets, Grace pulls out my purse and plays with my wallet and sun glasses. I think Daddy is in trouble with two shoppers in the family!

Splash Splash Splashin!

More pool time this evening!

14 months

At 14 months Grace is growing like a weed and is just as cute as can be! She loves to laugh, and get others to laugh with her. It seems like she changes daily. Pretty much understands everything we say to her like giving her directions, or asking her to point to something. She still loves to read. Lately she wants to read the same three books over and over and over. I think I read Llama Llama Misses Mama and Kisses for daddy 12 times each one day. Its just to hard to resist her holding up a book, climbing onto my lap and pointing at the book with a huge smile.

She is really starting to get attached to some toys. Her baby, blanket and pillow pets are the toys of the minute right now. She still loves to be outside in the sandbox, swinging or sliding down the slide.

She can point to almost all of her body parts and make the animal noises of 3 or 4 animals. She also loves to play with my purses, shoes and sun glasses (what a little girly girl!)

She loves giving regular and Eskimo kisses and loves to snuggle, and sing songs. She especially loves Row Row Row your Boat, and Head Shoulders Knees and Toes. She does the actions and will keep the beat. Its pretty cute!

Along with the previous words she was saying she has added Done, Bye, Belly, Bear, Ball, Bath and Side (Outside) to her vocabulary in the last month. She says most of them a lot, but not regularly.

She is still eating very well. We are down to one bottle after lunch and one before bed. Were trying to drop the lunch time bottle now. She eats almost everything right now, but I can slowly see her becoming more of a fussy eater. 90% of what she eats is what we eat. Sleeping is also going very well. Most nights she sleeps from 7:30-7:00 pretty much without waking up. If she does wake, she talks for awhile then will put herself back to sleep. (knock on wood:)

I can also see her trying to assert more of her own will during the day. She has started to protest a little if something is taken away from her, or if we are making her do something she doesn’t want to do. For example tonight after dinner Grace wanted to go outside and play. Nate took Peanut out without taking Grace with, so she started crying with big alligator tears, until he came back in.

Right now Grace is getting tons of teeth. Last month she had 4 on the top and the bottom. Now she has 7 on top and 5 on the bottom. She has been kind of crabby lately so let’s hope those teeth come in soon!

Things I don’t want to forget: How she will snuggle with my hand or arm when she gets tired. How she will give full on open mouth kisses. How excited she gets to see daddy, and others she hasn’t seen in a while. How she loves to tickle her own belly and ours. How she lights up when she gets blackberries and other berries. How she loves to play with my necklaces, shoes and purses. She loves to read! How she wants to figure out how things work or go together. Her little pout face when she doesn’t get her way. How she and daddy snuggle and watch dinosaur train right away Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Ahh! We love this little girl so much!!!! Take a look!
