Grace got sick really for the first time this weekend:( Her fever reached 105 one morning. She is such a trooper and managed to keep a smile on her face through the whole thing. We enjoyed Mickey Mouse about 100 times, took tons of baths and did a lot of cuddling. Were still antibiotic free, but for the first time mommy and daddy were wishing for something to make it better.

A Fun Family Weekend
We had fun playing with Lauren and Lindsey, and have fun celebrating Chloe's 10th birthday a little early.

A Shamrock Shake
Grace discovered the joy of matching a salty french fry and a shamrock shake. She was having so much fun dipping and eating... dipping and eating!
Basketball
One of Graces new favorite pass times is playing basketball with daddy. She will run and throw the ball through his arms or into her new basketball hoop. She has so much fun!
Buildin' a Snowman
It was so nice out the last few days that we have been playing outside a ton. We built a snowman and payed in the sandbox. Grace found out the hard way the difference between sand and snow (snow is something she loves to eat).
20 Months!
Grace has grown so much in the last month! She is constantly making connections that we don't expect, and amazing us in every way!
At 20 months:
My baby is getting bigger and bigger. Grace wore her first 2T shirt a few weeks ago. It just seems like a big jump from sizes in "months" or sizes in "T" for toddler. Grace is wearing 18-24month clothes as well as some 2T. She is wearing sz 4 diapers, and sz 6 shoes. She weighs ______ and is ______ in tall.
Phrases are a regular occurrence now. It is very common for her to put together 3, 4 and 5 words/concepts to communicate with us, like "mama, more please," or "no, peanut, no take it" or "look, daddy, look at me" I would even go so far as to say that she has said things that would qualify as sentences as well. Things like "Ut oh mama, where did it go?" complete with the cutest little hand gesture as she shrugs her shoulders. She regularly is using me, I, my, and mine to refer to herself. As for total number of words she knows and use- I gave up counting a long time ago, because it is well over several hundred at this point.
Grace knows all of her colors and will say most of them, Yellow is not her favorite color (in fact she avoids it at all costs) She loves blue red and green. She also knows and can name heart, star, circle and triangle shapes. Grace seems to know all of her letters and can identify them by name. Grace can count on her own to 14 and will say every other number beyond that to 20. She can identify numbers up to 9.
Graces pretend play has become more complex as well. Grace talks to her babies and hold conversations with them- asking them questions, and ending the conversations with a kiss. She likes to change her baby doll's diaper, give it her pacificer, etc. She also really enjoys singing songs and reading books. She regularly sings twinkle twinkle, ABC's and many other songs. In fact I bet she would know every word to songs we usually sing.
Grace loves to put together puzzles (the real ones) watching Mickey Mouse, playing play-doh, coloring and playing basket ball.
She has recently started some terrible two behaviors, and showing that she wants to do what she wants to do. We got the book teeth are not for biting and everyone goes potty. She actually has gone on the potty 3 or 4 times in the last few days.
What I don't want to forget: Monkey hugs ( when she gets so excited and will wrap her hands around my neck and feet around my waist and just squeeze) Her little guilty smile right before she decides not to do what you are asking her to, how she will run around saying look at me, look at me.
Favorite books: leap frog ABC's Merry Christmas big hungry bear, Mickey Mouse with toodles
Favorite Song: Twinkle Twinkle, Five little ducks...pretty much any song
