Picnics, and Butterflies and Carosels; Oh My

We had an awesome time with Grandma, Aunt Tina and Lauren and Lindsey today. Grace was so excited to have Lauren and Lindsey come to her house and play with her toys. We also had a picnic in the back yard, went to see Olbrich Gardens, and the Blooming Butterfly Exibit. After all that, we came home for a quick nap (the latest ever 3:45) and then went to Ella's Deli for supper and a carosel ride. Grace was a trouper for the day! She never got fussy, but was deffinitly ready for bed at 7:30!!! She loved to hear the fountians and see the fish at the gardens. She also loves to watch her cousins run and play.

Ella's Deli was also a big hit. She sat there and studied everything! If you've ever been there, there is a ton to study. Halfway through dinner she got really tired and just wanted to cuddle. We pushed her a little and did the carosel ride. She was not really impressed, but didn't hate it either. We will try again soon to see what she really thinks:)

Daddy was pretty sick this week so daddy and Grace cuddled a lot.

I Love Shoes!

Daddy says he's in trouble because every chance Grace gets shes digging in my shoes and trying them on her feet. She also is fond of all of my purses. That a girl!!!

One of the Best Baby Sitters

One of Graces first Baby sitters! She always had so much fun playing with her on Fridays. We'll miss you Steph!

Baby Kisses

Grace has just started giving kisses on demand to others (a.k.a. when she feels like it) She gave Grandma tons of kisses this weekend and has been kissing Nate and I all day.

Words!

Grace's vocabulary has really taken off since her first birthday. She has somewhere around 13 words that she regularly uses. Her first word other than Mama, Dada, Ah ma(Grandma) and Ba Pa (Grandpa) was "this" (6.14.11) she says it all the time, along with "that". When pointing at something she wants to play with or learn about. next came "ing" (Swing). She does not use it all the time, but it was deffininity a word that gets her excited. She also says it, sit, baby, up, Ahnin (Lauren), done, bye, belly, bear, kiss.

Today it was just way to hot outside to play one the swing set (104.5) so Grace and I had fun with some shaving cream.

Family day

This weekend everyone came down to celebrate Carley's birhtday. We went and had a party for both Carley and Emily at the hospital with Betty.  

Random Summer Fun

Num Num Num

A few weeks ago Grace had her first ear of sweet corn. She has had it off the cob before, but she loved it so much more on the cob. She actually wouldnt let me take it away from her!

She also had her first fresh strawberries! Aunt Tina, Lauren and I went strawberry picking and got tons of really fresh strawberries. Gracie girl ate them up!
