13 months

Ahh the last month.


Graces first birthday feels like so long ago! Since then Grace has grown and changed so much. She understands almost everything we say, and ask her to do. She says so many words, recognizes patterns (i.e. there was a picture of bell on Lindsey’s pillow and on her bedspread and she went back and forth and back and forth looking) her favorite thing to do is point at things and say, “This” like whats that called. She still loves to read her books over and over, and will search for the one she wants to read. She is also into EVERYTHING! We have been working on moving from a bottle to only the sippy cup, eating more and more table food, and walking everywhere. Grace still has trouble pulling herself up on things, but once she is up and walking (with assistance) she does very well. She is even starting to balance on her own two feet.

These last few weeks have been very busy! Since Graces party we have been in Rapids every weekend! Grace had her one year pictures (stay tuned for previews soon) She wore so many cute outfits and was such a good little girl. That weekend we also put up a swing/play set and gma and gpa’s and had such a good time playing with Lauren and Lindsey.

The next weekend was fathers day. It was Nathans second father’s day. We celebrated by going out to eat with Gma and Gpa Whitrock, Uncle Ryan and Chloe and Carley on Saturday night, then with Gma and Gpa Weber and the millers on Sunday. We went out to eat and then played and opened presents at gma and gpa’s

The next weekend Grace went to an Anniversary party, and also had her first night of baby sitting ever! Nathans Cousins Megan and Emily came over and watched her so we could go back the party and enjoy ourselves. It was her first night being put to sleep by anyone other than Nathan or I or Gma Weber. She did so well and the girls all had so much fun. It was also the first time that I haven’t feed her a bottle it was hard, but it has to come sometime I guess.

Another first this week was that mommy went up north with some friend and Gracie and daddy had their first mommy free days! They did great and mommy missed her a lot. Nathan treated Grace to her first ice cream cone from DQ (and didn’t take any pictures). They had tons of fun and while mommy relaxed with some friends.

Then we all packed up and headed up north for some Fourth of July fun!
