15 Months old

Grace is now 15 months old! More than ever, she is fitting the true definition of "toddler"- toddling all over and expressing her personality at every second.

This month Grace was 32.75" (97.19%) tall and weighed 25 lb 12 oz (76.52%). She only gained 6oz but grew 2inces since her last appointment. The doctor was not concerned, but mom was just a little.

Communication continues to take off around here. I realized that Grace knows a ton more words that I thought, she repeats almost everything we say. She loves to show off her words for Nathan and I, but is a bit shyer around others. I have stopped keeping track of all the words she uses because there are just to many. Grace totally understands almost everything we say.

Grace has almost all of her teeth, and knows how to use them! She eats almost everything we eat, and in bigger and bigger chunks. Her appetite has kind of hit a curb, but she still eats a great verity of fruit and vegetables. Some of her favorites are still berries, bananas, most veggies, ham, chicky chicky boc boc and cheese and yogurt. She still will eat some puréed foods, but less and less. She has been using Sippy cups instead of bottles in the morning and at lunch for a while

Grace is starting to have small tantrums where she throws herself backwards and kicks her feet back and forth there are usually no tears, and she gets over them very quickly but she just dislikes stopping anything she wants to continue doing.

Grace does a great job of playing independently, although it usually has to be in the same room as Mama. The second she notices I’m not there she will come and find me.

Grace still takes two naps a day. Usually about an hour in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. She still sleeps well through the night. Usually from 7:30pm to 6:30 am. It’s been hard figuring out a morning routine since I have gone back to work, but we will get there soon. We start bedtime routine around 7:30. Her routine is snuggling with a few books, a bottle and some more snuggling and kisses before being tucked in.

She has started to take off in the gross motor areas. Shes not walking by herself but will take steps, pull herself up, fall over and cuddle with her pillow pet. She walks around almost all furniture and will transition from piece to piece.

Favorite toy: many different ones

Favorite books: Llama Llama misses mama and Llama Llama red pajama

Favorite words: up, go, no pleeees, elmo (mo) Bert (ber) Ot oh
