Grace is wearing sz 3 diapers, (but soon to go to four) mostly 18-24month clothes. She wears sz 5-5.5 month shoes.
She is doing so much. I don't even know what to talk about. She started walking on October 8th. She is not exclusively walking yet, but is walking more and more every day. Her vocabulary is extremely large for her age. she will repeat almost everything and does a lot of unprompted talking. She read her first book about a week a go all by herself. Its a book of words and pictures. She flipped through the pages and said every picture on the pages without any help. She counts by herself to 10 with very few prompts, can say the letters in her name some of the time. She loves to play with the foam letters, and will point to written letters on anything and start to say her abc's. She really likes P, B ,O, E, and M. She know almost all of the body parts, and will move them when asked. She names most of her body parts.
She has fallen in love with playing babies. She caries them around, wraps them up, feeds them and puts them to bed in her baby basket. She still loves reading books, playing the Ipad (she can actually turn it on and open her program all by herself), and everything Elmo! She loves to play with her train and go outside to explore, swing and go down the slide. She loves to play peek with daddy, and play with mommy's shoes and purses. She also loves to splash around in the tub.
Lately her large motor skills have taken off. She easily stands up, sits down, jumps while holding on to something, and climbs onto the couch. She goes up and down stairs by herself and climbs a lot! She still likes to walk around things and hold onto something while she is walking.
Eating remains really good! She eats almost all veggies, ham and chicken. She loves fruit and crackers. Shes not crazy about bread, sweats and beef. but were still working:) She drinks mostly milk and some juice.
Sleeping is also still really good! She sleeps from 7:30-6:30 most nights. She sleeps with her blanky, her nook and elmo. Every night we read books drink her sippy cup of milk, brush teeth and go to bed.
Small tantrums have also started! She does them most often when being taken away from something she wants, or when she is over tired. She knows right from wrong. and will often shake her head and say no, no, no, no when about to do something she knows is wrong.
We are down to one 3 hour nap in the afternoon, and she does really well with it!
Her favorite song right now is Open shut them and the alphabet song.
Her favorite book is the Brave Witch, Llama Llama, Elmo shakes a leg
Her favorite toy is all of her Sesame Street figures and stuffed animals. (Babies within the last few days)
Then for the reall Halloween we went trick or treating to a few houses. Grace was unsure at first, but quickly got the hang of it. She even said appy allllowwweeen at a couple of houses.
