Wow! I really can't believe it. Nate and I looked at each other this morning and said, " when did our baby become a toddler?" Turly she seems so grown up an wants to to everything her self. This is such a fun age. She really is showing her own personality and can do many things on her own. She also tells me when she is hungry, tired, hurt or dosent like something. With all that she still wants to cuddle, have hugs and kisses.
At 18 months she is wearing sz 4 Diapers, 18-24mo clothes, sz 5.5 shoes.
Grace is up and walking almost exclusivly now. She falls occationally, but usually gets right back up to running /walking rather than scootching. Grace is working on numbers from 11-20 but still loves to count. She will say her ABC's with our help, but can point out and say about 10 letters especially the ones from last month and P, D, M, G. Her expressive language is still consistanly coming along! she says more and more words each day. Yesterday she looked up to the sky and said bird... then turned her head and said moon. She also regularly puts two words together and sometimes three words. Today she said "move mama please" when I sat down in her chair. She also says Ho Ho Ho erry Chrisss muss, and No a lot!
She still is a book worm, and will often choose to read books rather than play with her other toys. We have been talking a lo about christmas lately so those are some of her favorites right now. She has also figured out how to ride he dinosaur backwords and forewords so she is pretty proud of her self. She loves to dance and watch Super readers on PBS. Babies, puzzles and seceme street are still at the top of the list.
Now that she has walking under cotrol she has decided to move on to climbling. At Gma and Gpa Webers she loves to climb of and on the playroom chairs and kitchen stool, she also scales the back of the blue chair. At home she has figured out how to climb into and out of the basket that her playballs are in. She is so proud of herself when she can do both. She also loves to climb on Mommy:)
Eating remains good! She is slowing down a bit, but She eats almost all veggies, ham and chicken. She loves fruit and crackers. Shes not crazy about bread, sweats and beef. but were still working:) She drinks mostly milk and some juice.
She has become a little clingy when I drop her off in the morning, or she is around ppl she does not know, but quickly gets over it
She has also been really into helping! She helped me make green bean casorole for Thanksgiving, help daddy put together a few book shelves (even turing the screw driver) and will often throw her own diapers away when we ask her.
What I dont want to forget: How she studies me when we brush our teeth together, How she says Hi Mama with such enthusiasm especially in the morning, and when we roll around on he floor and play as a family. No TV, no toys, just us laughing:)
Favorite book right now: The Perfect Tree, or our 2010 family christmas book
Favorite song: ABC's
Favorite Toy: Sesame Street charachers and shoes (she loves them. Mine and hers)
