Grace is so much fun right now! She’s really getting a sense of humor and showing a big range of emotions. She is also so curious about everything. A night at our house includes her saying, “Happened?” with her hands out asking what happened a million times. She is so much her own little person with her own opinions, likes and dislikes.
At 19 months she is wearing sz 4 Diapers, 18-24mo clothes, sz 6 shoes.
Grace is completely on the move now running all over the place. She will run up and down the hallway and around the kitchen and the living room yelling “run run run” “get me, get me.” She can go up and down her little slide by herself, and can climb up and down the coach and all around. She is so proud of her self often saying “By myself” with a huge smile.
Grace can count almost to twenty always skipping 17, She sings the ABC song and can point out most letters and say the letter names. We are starting to work on letter sounds. She can say most of her colors in a book but has trouble nameing colors when asked about objects. Her expressive language is getting so good! She will say almost everything we ask her two and will answer questions you ask. Like did you have a good day, she will answer yes or no, tired or cold etc. This afternoon I asked why she didn’t sleep well, and she looked at me and said “happened nuk? With her hands out in the air” She loves the words, no, horary, goofy, catch me, silly, Apprissse (surprise) Mickeeey Moooouuuse, Ove ou (love you) She often will use three word sentences and sometimes 4.
She still is a book worm, and will often choose to read books rather than play with her other toys. She wants to read the same books a million times a day. We actually have to hide certain books just so we can get a break from them She really enjoys her mega blocks right now, her Mickey Mouse animals, a play tea pot and cake, coloring, her babies, puzzles and her train table. Around Christmas time she was in love with her play kitchen. She absolutely loves to dance to any music right now, and will often sing along and spin. One of her favorite activities is to sing ring around the rosy and do all the actions. I always make her help me back up!
She is still a pretty good eater, although is not a big fan of breakfast foods, bread and sweets. She all of a sudden likes ketchup, cheese spread and jelly a lot! She loves fish and most veggies and fruit. Blackberries are still the absolute favorite! She will often dig in the refrigerator while im making dinner and pull out all of her favorite items. Its so cute!
Lately she has been wanting to watch and experience more and more. She will say, “up high” when she wants to help, or watch me do something. She also has started to run up to us and give us the biggest monkey hugs. With her arms and legs wrapped around squeezing tight!
What I don’t want to forget: anything! She is just such a little sweet heart right now. I love it when she runs into a room and says apprise (surprise) with a huge smile on her face. I love her face when she knows one of us will read a book to her, or turn on Mickey Mouse club house, just pure excitement! She loves to talk to Grandma and Grandpa (pa pa) on the phone, and throws a small fit everytime she has to stop playing to get her diaper changed.
