at his 15 month appt Gavin was 2ft 10in (more than 100th percentile) and weighted 26.8 lbs ( 90th percentile)
Communication continues to take off around here. Gavin tries almost every word we ask him to. His regulars include: ball ball, side, cracker, ayee(gracie) mama, dada, esse (cheese), nut nut, ank oh (thank you) sh (fish), ruck (truck), to many more to list:) He also totally understands everything we say. He is just starting to do what ever we tell him not to do.
Gavin is sticking with his six teeth at the moment. four on to and two on the bottom. I think he may be getting some of the back ones soon. He eats almost everything we eat. He absolutely loves watermelon, hummus, cheese, ham, yogurt, whip cream, and pickels. He eats a pretty big verity. He has also started using a fork, and loves it! he drinks out of a sippy cup and uses a straw very well.
Gavin is starting to have small tantrums where he throws himself backwards and kicks his feet back and forth there are usually no tears, and he gets over them very quickly but he just dislikes getting his diaper changed.
Gavin does a great job of playing independently, although it usually has to be in the same room as Mama. The second he notices I’m not there he will come and find me or say ma ma, ma ma until i respond. He is a mamas boy through and through! He still loves to hang out in the kitchen while i cook.
Gavin still takes two naps a day. Usually about an hour in the morning and 2 in the afternoon. He still sleeps well through the night. Usually from 7:30pm to 6:30 am. We start bedtime routine around 7:30. Her routine is snuggling with a few books, a bottle and some more snuggling and kisses before being tucked in.
Favorite toy: anything little people (bus, airplane, farm, klip klop stable) balls
Favorite books: Elmo, picture books
Favorite words: ball ball, baba, cracker, mama
Things I don't want to forget: How he wraps both arms around me and snuggles into my neck right before I put him to bed, how he holds out food for me to eat and right as it gets to my mouth he eats it himself. how cute he is when he scrunches his nose. How he sings along to a melody. How he immediately looks for Grace when he gets up in the morning or his nap. Usually saying Ah yee, Ah yee.
I love this little boy with all of my heart!!!!
