Wow! I’ve been slacking on posting lately. So much has happened in the last feel weeks.
We had our big family shower the last week in April (24th) It was so nice! It meant so much many people pitched in to make sure it was a success. My sisters and sister in law did so much work making sure it was organized, fun and creative! It was also so great and surprising that so many people came from so far away. Both Nathan and I felt truly blessed to have so much support! We got tons and tons of stuff. One of the games was to estimate how many bottles, onsies and bibs we would get so we kept count and i think we had 32 onsies, 17 bibs and 14 bottles among tons of other items that Grace will need. I finally feel like we are all set, and waiting around for her to come!
I saw this on another website to write about showers...
Who threw it: My sister and sister in law, but tons of others helped. My sister, who helped from afar as well as Nate’s Aunt and cousin, our niece Chloe, My mom, Nate’s Mom and countless other aunts and cousins that pitched in on the actual day.
Time and Date: April 24th 2010. 11-2.
Colors: Brown and Pink
What we ate: Breakfast foods. Fruit, bagels, coffee cakes, and lots of other goodies.
What we played: First we did predictions and advice. Everyone wrote when they thought she would come, how big she would be and some advice for us. Some were pretty funny and others were really sweet!
Then we did the candy dirty diaper guess test, and gift predictions. It was a great balance of games.
What we got: I'm convinced that Grace will be the best dressed little girl! She got tons of clothes and shoes!!! but lots of other items that she really needed like bottles, bibs sheets, blankets, towels, washcloths, toys, books, her stroller and car seat, high chair, baby seat...and tons more
After all the festivities it was so nice to go through it all and get organized! Stay tuned for pics. I didn’t have a camera so people are sending them to me.
